The Kentucky Watercolor Society and University of Kentucky Emeritus Professor of Art Joseph Fitzpatrick invite you to a landscape painting workshop in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, CANADA, September 16 - 23, 2010, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunenburg, a scenic harbour town, is on the Atlantic South Shore of Nova Scotia.
Fitzpatrick was recently awarded an Al Smith Fellowship grant in recognition of artistic excellence for professional arts in Kentucky, through the Kentucky Arts Council, supported by federal funding from the National Endowment of the Arts.
Workshop Cost $540
(10% discount for members of Kentucky Watercolor Society or Lunenburg Art Gallery)
Particulars: The cost of $540 includes tuition for daily instruction and Critique and a voluntary contribution to the Kentucky Watercolor Society. Workshop limited to 15 painters. Non painting companions are welcome.
Payment Schedule: A deposit of $300 will reserve your place. Final payment of $240 will be due September 1, 2010. We recommend travel insurance to ensure against cancellation, accident, trip interruption or baggagge loss.

September 16
Participants from USA and elsewhere arrive Halifax Airport; take shuttle to Lord Nelson Hotel, Halifax. Dinner: Lord Nelson Dining Room. Local area residents are welcome to join the group dinners and may telephone the Lord Nelson and Lunenburg Arms Hotels for reservations
September 17
9:00 Painting Session: Halifax Public Gardens
12:00 Lunch on own
2:00 pm Transfer via group taxis to Lunenburg Arms Hotel
6:00 pm Critique - Lunenburg Arms Meeting Room
7:30 pm Dinner - Hotel Meeting Room
September 18-21
Painting at scenic venues in Lunenburg and environs; nightly critiques in Hotel Meeting Room. Dinners on one's own.
September 21
