The neighborhood includes the historic Louisville Free Public Library,
the Brown Theatre, center for Louisville Orchestra concerts, theatre performances
and the Louisville Ballet; Saint Francis High School; the Palace Theatre;
the Brown Hotel, with gracious dining in the English Grill, the Thorobred Lounge, and
Graham’s Cafe; the Seelbach Hilton and its world class Oak Room; and the YMCA Athletic facility.
Louisville’s excellent hospital complex is only a few blocks away.
The free Toonerville Trolley, serving downtown Louisville, stops at Fourth Avenue and
Theatre Square, and it circulates to the River, passing the Galleria and downtown shops.
Bus stops for major lines are on Third and Broadway.
